Cassie: Forcast future events with friends.

Great to be on PH! I'm very excited about Cassie and hope you can check it out. We're a new startup formed by two sisters. Visit cassieinnovations.com for more info! Cassie is a new app where you share your predictions on the outcome of global and personal events, earning points when predictions become reality. Users can forecast the outcome of all sorts of "casties" (aka events/questions). We currently have "casties" in Sports, Current Events, and Pop Culture (more to come later!). So, if you like sports, you can go to the sports category and share your predictions on things like "Will the Patriots repeat as Super Bowl Champs?" You earn points for correct predictions and are competing for a spot on our Leaderboard. Once the castie ends (i.e. the event occurs), you are notified if you were correct or not. You can then also see what your friends forecasted. How do you stack up? Can you predict better than your friends? We also have a "personal casties" section where you can create your own casties. Personal casties are completely private so only you and the friends you choose can forecast them. Personal casties allow you to forecast life events: "Which of our friends will get engaged next?", "When will Bob retire?", whatever you want! Our goal is to provide a formal outlet to all of our informal predictions, no matter how trivial. We're all constantly making predictions about the future, everything from "Which of our friends will get engaged next?" to "What will Kim and Kanye name their next child?" and "Who will become the next President?". Cassie provides one central location for us to place those forecasts and keep track of our accuracy. It's purely social and fun. In this way, future forecasting becomes a new form of social media; one that creates very powerful data as users forecast the most timely events. Cassie sources the potential of the wisdom of crowds to create accurate predictive data on geopolitical and cultural events. Just think how valuable this "predictive data" could be to organizations like say, the CIA, or any major corporation that cares about the future of their industry. We ultimately want to create native iOS and Android apps but, given there's just two of us working on this, the web app is our best initial approach. Feedback is much appreciated! Thanks!
