What became possible in your product with Astra that was not practical before?

Astra made it practical for our two-person team to move Casian from a prototype toward a product ready for pilot use by investment funds. During development, it worked autonomously for hours on complex tasks, helping strengthen security and configure and manage our Supabase and Oracle infrastructure. That sustained autonomy let us tackle engineering work that would otherwise have required much more hands-on coordination. Astra also powers analysis inside Casian: examining investment documents against a fund's thesis, challenging claims, generating sourced findings and revisiting analyses as new evidence arrives. Our biggest unlock was using the same model both to build the application and to support the investment workflow within it. We are now seeking our first pilot funds to validate the product in real workflows.

Hi everyone! I'm Simon, co-founder of Casian 👋 My co-founder Julian and I started building Casian after working in venture capital. Documents, questions, analyses and team discussions often lived in separate tools. When new information arrived, keeping everything consistent meant revisiting the analysis and updating the investment memo. We wanted a shared workspace where the team and AI could work on the same deals, from the first deck screening to the investment committee. With Casian, you can: • Configure your fund's thesis, criteria and memo preferences. • Analyse decks and data rooms with source-linked findings and follow-up questions. • Revisit analyses as new documents or call transcripts arrive. • Keep unanswered and partially answered questions visible. • Comment, assign tasks and ask AI to investigate specific points. • Build an investment memo from the evolving due diligence. Our first version is fully functional, and we're looking for our first pilot funds.
