Hi Everyone 😃 I am Divine, CEO and Co-Founder of Careering. Careering arose from my time as a tech professional living in New York City, but still feeling the need to supplement my salary just to live comfortably. As I found many of the supplemental options available to be unrealistic or undesirable, I sought to create a side hustle platform conducive to balancing a full-time 9-5. Coupled with my knowledge that Higher Education is generalized, lacks personalization, and there being no easy way for college students to explore multiple different careers let alone gain career confidence, we knew career exploration was fundamentally missing from a students' educational journey & mentorship was the solution that needed to be redesigned. Careering reimagines college mentorship by connecting aspiring students with relevant professionals in the form of a Career Exploration Marketplace. Our platform lets students gain personalized career insights seamlessly while enabling professionals to get more out of their career than ever before by leveraging it into a lucrative side hustle. Via 1:1 virtual career sessions, students from all backgrounds and socioeconomic statuses can unlock the career knowledge and acumen needed to enter the job market with conviction and confidence. I believe when one’s environment doesn’t unintentionally pour career intuition, wisdom, acumen, and overall understanding, one has to intentionally seek & invest to attain those insights. With the goal of un-correlating a student’s environment with the likeliness they will succeed in a career, Careering is built to do just that. Right now, we have amassed an amazing group of professionals ranging from companies like Coinbase, Amazon, Instacart & GoGuardian who have validated their desire to use mentorship as their side hustle and help us democratize career confidence for all students regardless of their race, socioeconomic status, or background. Sign up as a ‘Careeror’ to join us on our mission & try Careering as your new 2024 side hustle!

Fantastic idea! choosing a career path is such a significant and often daunting decision for college students. It's always better to have real-life insights before diving into a field. Do the professionals on Careering also provide mentorship beyond the initial 1:1, or is it more of a one-time informational interview setup? Thumbs up and an upvote because this kind of guidance can be a real game-changer for students looking to find their way in the professional world.

College students would love using this. I hope it reaches to college students in need of help.
Divine Rivers
@shushant_lakhyani We think so too. Once stat we reference internally is that less than 25 percent of college students graduate with sn internship. So the vast majority of students enter the job market with no knowledge of what to expect or how to navigate it
