I get gift cards for every birthday and holiday. They end up in a drawer, I forget about them, then I find them a year later half-used with no idea what's left.
So I built the thing I needed: scan your gift cards, Cardinal stores them, shows the balance, and pulls them up when you're at checkout.
Simple on purpose - just solves the "where's that gift card and how much is on it" problem.
