👋 Hey everyone! I’m Tye, the Founder of HyperAppDev LLC, and I'm excited to introduce CaptionThat.

The idea for CaptionThat came from my wife — she’s a real estate agent who spends hours trying to write captions for her listings and social media posts. I wanted to help her, so I started building a small tool on weekends that could generate captions using AI.

As I built it out, I realized how many creators, small businesses, and marketers face the same problem — writing captions takes time, and most tools out there either have clunky UX or miss features like workspaces, social connections, media storage, favorites, history, etc.

CaptionThat started as a side project, and today I’m excited (and a little nervous!) to share my first-ever Product Hunt launch 🎉. It’s still in beta, and my main focus right now is fixing bugs, polishing the experience, and getting to version 1.

Once that’s stable, I’m planning to add subtitle generation for videos — so creators can generate both captions and subtitles in one place.
