How do you actually keep this free and not run out of storage, and is there a paid tier coming for people who want bigger files or longer retention?
@smailekglvldf Currently, free is sustainable since this is a transfer service, not a storage service. 1h deletions, 100MB max size, and strict enforcement of rate limits allows me it free. Long term, I'll introduce a paid monthly tier for power users allowing larger file sizes & longer retention as hosting requirements scale.
But the core product of Capsule will always remain open & free, as my motivation was to build a fast, no-BS file transfer service.
(I'm also working on a peer-to-peer mode where the server only acts as a connection director, meaning that files of any size move directly between devices without being saved on Capsule's servers.)
