Hey PH! Maker here 👋 I built Capitol Gains after noticing how much attention "Nancy Pelosi's trades" got on social media — and realizing the actual data was technically public but completely inaccessible. The government's eFD filing system is slow, hard to search, and doesn't alert you to anything. So I built the version I'd actually want to use: live feed, filtering by senator/ticker/size, and SMS alerts for when a senator you're watching files a new trade. The scraper hits the official Senate eFD system every 30 minutes and normalizes the data into a clean API. Stack is Next.js 15, FastAPI on Render, Supabase, Stripe, and Twilio. Happy to answer anything about how the data pipeline works or how I'm handling the STOCK Act filings. Always interested in feedback!
