I built Canto because I wanted to have a deeper relationship with the books I read. I'd finish a book and immediately move on to the next without reflecting or taking a moment to think about what it meant. Every reading app either turns books into a leaderboard or asks you to log data instead of engage with what you read. Canto focuses on just you, the reader. It asks a few real questions after you finish a book and turns your answers into a reflection.
Reader's DNA looks across a reader's library for patterns they would not spot on their own. One real example the app has generated: "The Uninvited Witness," described as someone who "attaches to whoever the story was not built to protect."
From there, Chosen turns those patterns into recommendations based on what you have actually said about your reading, not what everyone else is reading, so it surfaces books you will love that will not show up on a generic suggested list.
