This is one of our first tools aimed at delivering immediate value to individuals looking to understand the impact of AI on their careers while serving as a first step towards a suite of helpful tools to assist the changing workforce.
Really interesting tool, and definitely shows a perspective of the future of workers. I think this is a great way to actually see the potential impact of the future. We are clearly entering an automation wave with the growing power of ML/AI.
This tool can be a canary in the coal mine for many career people who may not see disruption coming for their job or even their entire career category. If it predicts significant displacement in a field, it's a needed wake-up call to jump before the wave hits you or to become an expert in managing the new automation using your market expertise. It could also be used for those new to the market or changing careers to make sure they avoid those roles or categories that will be less resistant to AI’s impacts. This could involve steering toward areas that require complex problem-solving, creativity, or social intelligence. I won’t sugarcoat it - this might be the time for a drastic career pivot but you could get a head start. Be careful though, AI is moving faster than many segments I have seen in my decades as a tech leader. Companies could use large-scale versions of this Candle AI to map automation risks and opportunity across their entire workforce. This allows for proactive reskilling programs and helps mitigate potential disruption. Candle could also inform educational institutions about the skills most in-demand in an automated world. This could lead to a more relevant and future-proofed curriculum and provide actionable data on future job displacement due to AI automation. It could also be leveraged to create leading edge policies that support worker retraining and safety nets during this transition. Pretty amazing stuff.

When applied in earnest but without proper planning, application inside of enterprise could be disastrous (alienating talent and resulting in reputational damage).
