Hey PH! 👋
I built CanaryGuard because I kept reading about crypto wallets getting drained and companies discovering breaches months too late. The average breach goes undetected for 204 days.
Canary tokens are the simplest fix: plant a fake credential somewhere sensitive, get an alert the instant someone touches it. Zero false positives. 30 seconds to deploy.
Canarytokens.org exists and is great — but it's email-only alerts, no dashboard, no API, no team features. Enterprise tools like Thinkst Canary start at $10K+. Nothing existed for the team in the middle.
So I built CanaryGuard: a proper SaaS with dashboard, Slack/Discord alerts, REST API, team roles, custom domains, and Bitcoin payments (no credit cards by design — our users care about privacy).
What makes it different:
- 8 token types (URLs, DNS, documents, QR codes, email pixels, config files)
- Real-time alerts with IP geolocation
- Custom callback domains (undetectable by scanners)
- BTC/Lightning subscriptions via BTCPay Server
- Free tier: 5 tokens, no signup friction
Built solo with Next.js, Supabase, and a lot of late nights. Would love your feedback — especially from anyone doing security or managing infrastructure.
