A WAY TO VLOG WITHOUT FEELING LIKE EVERYONE IS WATCHING
Have you ever wanted to make a little vlog for your friends and share what you’re doing, but felt awkward talking to your phone in public? Well, this app solves that problem!!!
Basically, it puts you in a simulated video call while you record, so instead of feeling like you’re talking to a camera, you feel like you’re talking to someone. It sounds like a small thing, but it makes a surprisingly huge difference.
This app is seriously great. I’ve always wanted to film more of my everyday life and make little vlog-style videos, especially when I’m out doing things, traveling, or just walking around somewhere interesting. The awkward part has always been pulling out my phone and talking directly to the camera. Unless you’re a well-seasoned influencer, it can feel pretty uncomfortable because you’re aware of everyone around you and you start feeling self-conscious. This makes it so much easier. I can talk directly to the camera without feeling like everyone is staring at me.
The call-style setup makes a surprisingly huge difference. It feels like I’m talking to another person on a video call, so I can actually talk naturally while I’m recording. I can walk around, show what I’m doing, talk about where I am, and capture things in the moment without feeling like I’m standing there performing for a camera. It makes the whole influencer/vlogging thing feel way more comfortable and casual.
The teleprompter is really well done too. I can have a few things I want to say right there while still maintaining eye contact, and being able to adjust the text size, scrolling speed, and opacity makes it easy to use without making the video feel scripted.
I also really like how clean the final videos are. The caller, controls, and teleprompter disappear from the finished recording, so you’re left with a normal-looking video of yourself. Overall, this has made me much more comfortable filming myself and actually capturing my life on video. It’s a really clever idea, and it solves a problem that had always been on my mind.
