Call9 is in the Summer 2015 batch of Y Combinator. Many businesses, like nursing homes, use medical care frequently but lack the resources to have full time doctors on staff. Call9 solves this problem by providing an on demand virtual emergency physician to deal with urgent medical issues. I'm excited by this team and what they're building -- the founders are physicians who worked in the emergency departments of the world’s leading medical institutions. They were able to see firsthand how inefficient the current emergency care system is.
