CalcBadger is a growing set of free online calculators and unit converters. Every formula is unit-tested against a named authoritative source (state DOT specs, NIST, USPS), each calculator shows its formula and the worked steps, and every page cites where its constants come from. Any tool can be embedded on your own site with one line of HTML, with a small credit link at the bottom. No signup, no ads inside the tools.
Hi Product Hunt, I'm Owen and I build CalcBadger. It started because most online calculators hide the formula and cite nothing, so you can't tell whether the number is right. Every CalcBadger tool shows the formula and the worked steps, cites the source its constants come from (state DOT specs, NIST, USPS and so on), and its formulas are unit-tested, so a wrong edge case fails a build before it ever reaches you. Each calculator also has an embed version you can drop into a blog post or a school resources page with one line of HTML. No signup, no ads inside the tools. I'd like to hear which calculators you'd want added next, and whether the embed works on your site.
