Train your ear by identifying the root note of songs from your own Spotify playlists. Cadence Chords plays tracks from your library and challenges you to recognize the tonal center by ear, helping you develop relative pitch using music you already know.
Love this idea since it uses music I already listen to. One thing that would help me a lot is letting me slow down or loop a short section of the track before guessing the root, because in faster songs it's tough to lock onto the tonal center on a single play.
@cafergulde16899 That's a good idea! the problem right now is that it plays through Spotify, so I should find a way to slow down Spotify tracks! I'll write it down.
Pulling songs from my own Spotify and guessing the key is way more fun than drilling random intervals. Caught me on a couple of tracks I was sure I knew, so it actually pushes you to listen closer.
Love that you pulled this off using tracks people already have in their playlists. Building ear training around music you actually listen to is such a clever hook, makes the whole practice feel personal instead of like a textbook drill.
