A minimal, opinionated retention flashcard app for focused learning. Fixed retention targets, FSRS scheduling, and no settings to tweak. Unlimited decks, unlimited cards. Markdown/LaTeX support, start/stop anytime, and full data export—your cards are yours.
How am I just learning about spaced repetition? Funny how we’re never really taught how to learn—at least not in a structured, repeatable way.
In case you’re new to spaced repetition: it’s like smart flashcards that show up right before you're about to forget them. Over time, this spacing helps lock things into long-term memory. Med students and language learners alike use and recommend it.
I explored the tools out there, and while Anki (https://ankiweb.net/) is the default (and rightfully beloved), I was struck by how much setup it takes just to get started: deck settings, card limits, review thresholds... etc.
So I'm building Cadence—🧘♂️ No settings. No complexity. Just flow.
Still early days, but I’m excited to share it. Would love feedback, thoughts, and ideas — especially if you’re interested in things like local storage, image upload, native apps, or collaboration down the line.
