ByteLingual is your French learning companion for iPhone. It teaches vocabulary, verbs and phrases passively through your lock screen and home screen widgets - so you learn in the seconds you already spend glancing at your phone. Built-in spaced repetition resurfaces each word right before you'd forget it, and a quick daily review locks it in. Pick your CEFR level or build custom collections of the words you want. No lessons, just French that sticks between glances.
Love the lock screen idea, super low-friction. One thing I'd want is the ability to mark a word as "got it" or "I don't know this" with a quick tap directly on the widget, so the spaced repetition actually adapts without needing to open the app each time.
@hasankzlasnnhs I like that idea of making it an even more seamless experience, I'll have a look into how I can incorporate this in an update soon!
Love this idea - the lock screen widgets are genuinely clever for fitting vocab into micro-moments. One concrete idea: add a small tap-to-hear pronunciation on each widget word, since spelling alone won't get you far in conversation and right now you'd have to open the app for audio.

The widget approach is genuinely clever, I caught myself actually remembering words without feeling like I studied. Spaced repetition showing up right when I'm about to forget something feels almost magical after a few days of use.

honestly the lock screen widget idea is really clever, like using those seconds of dead time you already waste scrolling is such a smart way to make vocab stick without adding any friction
