"Butter is a deal management platform + marketplace for creators and brands. Creator side is live in early access — manage invoices, deliverable reports, automated payment/draft/publish follow-ups, usage rights & exclusivity tracking, deadlines, reminders, and an in-app draft folder for revisions, all in one place. Brand-side marketplace is still being built — brands can start browsing the creator roster in about a month. Stripe payments coming soon."
Me and a couple friends were trying to land our first brand deals as pretty small creators, and it was rough — pitch, wait, get ghosted, pitch again. Even when a deal did happen, staying on top of it was its own mess: half the conversation in email, deadlines in a spreadsheet, drafts and notes scattered across Notion, and inevitably someone forgetting to follow up on a payment for three weeks.
Once I started actually looking for it, I saw the exact same complaint everywhere — forum threads, comment sections, DMs — smaller creators saying the same thing: not enough deals coming in, and the ones that did land were a nightmare to manage across ten different tools.
So we built Butter to fix both halves of that. Brands find and reach out to you directly instead of you cold-pitching into the void, and once a deal's live, everything — invoices, deliverable reports, payment/draft/publish follow-ups, usage rights, deadlines, revisions — stays in one place instead of scattered across your inbox.
The brand side is still in progress and so we're in early access for YouTube creators with 10K+ subs right now, with brands onboarding soon. Would genuinely love feedback from anyone who's dealt with this same chaos — what's the worst part of managing brand deals for you right now?
