I run a few small products from Nairobi, and for a long time my monitoring setup was basically: a customer messages me on WhatsApp saying the site is down. Not great. When I did try monitoring tools, they went the other way. One slow response at 3am and my phone was buzzing. A ten-minute outage meant ten emails. And the one thing I actually needed to know, that a cron job had quietly stopped running, never showed up anywhere. So I built Bundi for myself first. It checks a few times before deciding something's really down, sends one email per outage (to everyone on the list at once), and tells you when a scheduled job didn't run. It also keeps an eye on server disk, CPU and memory, because a full disk has taken me down more than once. You can add a site in under a minute and it's free to start.
