Local processing sounds great for privacy, but how does it handle the official Telegram API rate limits when bulk-leaving thousands of groups at once?
@dalyancsev5733Yes, I've limited this to a maximum of 50 groups at a time, and the processing time will be slow to avoid Telegram warnings about your account. Please be patient.
@dalyancsev5733 To ensure your account isn't flagged as spam by Telegram, the app automatically pauses for 2.5 seconds between leaving a channel. If you leave too many channels at once, Telegram will temporarily lock your account from leaving groups/channels for a few minutes/hours. The app will then display a FloodWaitError message along with the number of seconds you need to wait to understand the situation.
how does the bulk-leave actually handle channels with a lot of members or ones where im an admin, does it skip those or just rip them out anyway
@melisi0ey Your channel is an Administrator (Admin - but not Creator): You can leave normally. As soon as you leave, your administrator rights in that channel/group will be automatically canceled.
Your channel is a Creator (Creator / Owner):
Telegram's rules: If you are the only Creator, Telegram API strictly prohibits you from arbitrarily leaving directly through the leave-channel command (LeaveChannel).
Solution: To leave a channel owned by you, you must do it on the official Telegram application: either Transfer Ownership to another account, or Delete that channel completely.
Handling in the application: If you choose to leave a channel you own in TeleManager, Telegram API will return an error (for example: CHANNEL_CREATOR ownership error). The application will record this error for that channel alone, skip and continue to leave other channels in the selected list without interrupting the entire process.
