Host apps and websites, spin up Sandboxes, manage domains, run tests, deploy to any cloud, and automate delivery with pipelines, all in one platform. Configure everything through the UI, YAML, or code, or let Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot, and other AI agents operate Buddy directly through MCP or CLI, including deployments, infrastructure, and logs.

No signup plus free subdomains is the combination phishing pages go looking for. What happens when someone drops a fake bank login? On a free tier of my own the per-IP rate limits I tried let bursts straight through, so I'm curious what's doing the work here.
Buddy Works
@dalemooney Very good point. We spent quite a bit of time thinking about how to handle this safely. There are a few layers to it:
1. Automated decision models detect this kind of behavior and block it.
2. Without an account, a site is only live for one hour.
We also have mechanisms for taking suspicious sites down, with manual review in place.
@sztwiorok The one hour limit probably does most of the work, since a phishing run needs the link alive long enough to send round. Does the hour start again if someone drops the same files a second time?
Buddy Works
@dalemooney Yes, currently that’s how it works. Once the domain expires, it goes back into the pool, so someone can deploy the same files again under that domain.
Every weekend project dies in the same spot: it's done, but there's nowhere to show it, because hosting is a "deal with it on Monday" thing. Drop takes Monday out of the equation.
Curious how many abandoned side projects will finally see daylight because of this, especially with the $1k contest as extra motivation.

drop-and-deploy is a crowded corner (netlify drop, vercel) but "free domain forever" is the hook. what's the catch on storage - do idle sites get archived after a while, or does it genuinely sit there untouched even if nobody visits again?
