I like the idea, but I don’t think clean, mainly typographic design and using mono fonts really qualifies as "brutalist". Wouldn’t a brutalist website use no CSS and rely on browser defaults? Expose the building materials, so to speak?
Sebastian Ly Serena's (http://sebastianlyserena.dk/) is actually a pretty neat idea.. it's basically a rube goldberg machine of html

"brut" does seem to be a good word for this style, but "brutalist", and the association with the architectural movement doesn't seem appropriate to me. That might just be due to my feelings about brutalist architecture, which IMO, is often extremely imposing, inaccessible and inhospitable. And these sites are arguably much more approachable and accessible compared to the more refined and decorative trends.
its so interesting how things are so cyclical --- all the fish go one way and then there's a fish that's swimming in this direction. I like the philosophy of a purposefully raw framework/architecture.
