Hi Product Hunt 👋 I'm Barry, and I built BroadPaper Cloud.
Plenty of businesses send every client the same report each month or quarter: a valuation, a monthly summary, a statement. It usually gets made by copying last month's file, pasting in the new figures, fixing the page that now breaks through the table, and doing it all again for the next client. The figures are already in a spreadsheet. Every tool that could help starts by making you map fields by hand, and that's where people give up.
So BroadPaper does that part. Bring in the spreadsheet you already keep (Excel, CSV, or straight from Google Drive or OneDrive). It reads your headings and the values under them and fills in a report you design once. When three columns could all be the total, it asks you once, with your own figures beside each option. If the file holds 32 clients, you get 32 reports.
A few things I cared about:
• The PDF is a proper document: real page breaks, table headings repeated on the next page, page numbers that are right.
• Next month is the easy bit: bring in the new figures (or press Refresh on a Drive or OneDrive file) and make them again.
• Your file is read in your browser. Only the rows and columns it reads are stored, in your workspace, in the UK.
Honest limits: it doesn't run on a schedule, email your clients, or connect to your CRM or accounting software yet. You press the button and send the files.
The free plan is the whole product with your own data, with a small BroadPaper line at the foot of each page. Pro is $59 a month.
I'd really like to know which report you still build by hand, and whether BroadPaper reads your spreadsheet right first time. Where it doesn't is the most useful thing you could tell me.
