Hey PH! I'm the solo builder behind BrieflySec. The frustration was real: I work in security and kept opening my feeds to find the same CVE covered identically across a dozen outlets. Same headline, same three bullet points, none of it filtered for what I actually do day to day. The core of BrieflySec is embedding-based deduplication. Stories that cover the same event get clustered together even when the headlines look nothing alike, so you get one clean story instead of eight versions of it. Upvote or downvote articles and the ranking adapts to what you actually engage with over time. Each story gets summarized through different lenses: TL;DR, Blue Team, Red Team, Executive, and Architect. The Architect one took the most prompt engineering to get right. Most attempts just regurgitated generic impact statements. Eventually got it to consistently surface actual infrastructure implications like blast radius, affected layers, and lateral movement paths. Built with Claude Code, my first real agentic coding experiment. Happy to talk about that side of it if anyone's curious.
