I used to have this archaic device that would flash LEDs against my eyelids while going WAWAWAWAWA. It was expensive, and had an indecipherable 80s-era interface, but it was great at generating hypnogogic movies while just PUSHING the thoughts out of my head. One day I realized that there wasn't much that the device did that a phone can't do. Thus brainboop. It's not the first such app, but it doesn't require a subscription.
