Lectures often go over people's heads because the lecturer doesn't know that students are confused or what they're confused about. By giving students a discreet way to give feedback and ask questions, lectures become more engaging and focused.
I made this after I started teaching a class and noticed that whenever I asked "any questions?" and nobody responded, it didn't mean they didn't have any questions. They just needed a better way to ask. This is my attempt to help bridge that gap, and so far it's been working really well. Hopefully it helps other educators.
@chris_jeffrey thanks! yeah I'm keeping my eyes open to see what's most useful. don't want to have too many options, but thinking of adding a 'break' option
