This seems promising. I am going to poke around and get my sock subscription startup: www.soxinabox.club on there. I will be happy to provide an update here with some results.
Thanks for posting this.
@zbijelic I know. The low price just don't attract influencers who will work for you at all. Same market rule is "you get what you pay". Based on 6 months of data from over 3,000 brands $10k budgets and up have yielded 10x the ROI as small budget.
Thanks for the support Product Hunt! Before, only celebrities got paid to talk about cool products. My vision is to let everyone get paid if they mention a product/service/app that they like!
I'm at TechCrunch Disrupt rt now. I have to say I love the tech ecosystem and am glad I created a startup that has helped "boost" other startups!
I love the idea and execution, but I'm struck by two things:
1) There are pretty much no companies on this platform yet. I know it's a chicken and egg situation, but there's no value for me as a 'booster' yet.
2) Will people continually monetize for micro-amounts? I feel it'd be better going for sign-ups/converts and higher amounts, rather than click throughs.
Looks really promising! We at Organicbasics.dk are always hunting for the best way to make engage and reward our community - this is definitely worth a try! Big ups!
This looks really nice. I'm going to give it a try for http://shopsultry.com and see how it goes. So far, we've been marketing by contacting bloggers in our space and getting them to write/tweet about us, but we've been looking for a scalable way to reach more influencers.
One issue, though, is that it's tough to insure that influencers are only promoting products they actually think are great. Maybe limiting the number of businesses an influencer can promote in a given time period would encourage them to only select quality products. This might seem counter-productive to growth, but I think the issue of keeping the quality of promotions high here is so important that it makes sense. As influencers become more experienced, their limits could be reduced so their earning potential is still unbounded and they are rewarded for being successful influencers. Also, letting companies offer their product for free/at a discount to influencers might encourage them to select for products they actually want to use.
@brahnema Cool, hope you like it! From our user research, most people only recommend products they actually like because they want to keep their friends/followers :) We also encourage people to always be honest. Don't be afraid to mention what can be improved...brands actually love that feedback!

Looks really interesting. Kinda reminds me of Clickbank/JVZoo kind of model. But if too many people post up products, what sort of reach will they receive?
