Squirrel a BookMark Manager is a privacy-first bookmark organiser that stores everything in your browser — no account, no cloud, no tracking. Organise bookmarks into sections, sync across sessions via your own local folder (vault), and restore from automatic backups. Free for up to 25 bookmarks. One-time $9 upgrade for unlimited. Built for people who are tired of browser bookmark chaos but don't want another subscription or another company holding their data.

Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I built this because my bookmark bar was a disaster and every alternative either required an
account, charged monthly, or sent data to a server I don't control.
BookMark Manager is a single web app — no install, no extension, no sign-up. Your bookmarks stay
in your device.
Free for upto 25 bookmarks, $9 one time for unlimited - no subscription ever.
Import your favourites/bookmarks from current browser.
Happy to answer any questions. Would love feedback on what features matter most to you.
Hey PH community 👋 Two weeks since launch — here's what we've shipped based on your feedback:
🔖 Tags — add, filter, and search by tag
⌨️ Ctrl+K command palette — keyboard-first navigation
↩️ Undo on delete — 5-second window to recover, no confirm dialog
🚫 Content policy — adult, gambling, piracy and extremist sites blocked locally
🎨 Brand icons — real logos for GitHub, YouTube, Discord and 10+ others. Zero network requests — privacy stays intact
🆓 Free tier expanded — daily backup and clipboard detection no longer behind the paywall
We also quietly fixed a privacy gap: the original app was fetching favicons from Google's CDN. Every bookmarked site was pinging an external
server. That's gone.
Still no tracking. Still no subscription. Still $9 one-time.
Try it: squirrel.aditco.in — and keep the feedback coming.

Update: We just shipped browser bookmark import — Chrome, Firefox, Edge, and Safari.
Export your bookmarks as HTML from your browser, click ☰ Menu → Import
from Browser, and your folders become sections instantly. Free users get up
to 25 imported; premium imports everything.
Feels like the right thing to ship on launch day — the #1 reason people don't
switch bookmark tools is "I'm not re-entering 200 bookmarks manually."
Also our user manual is updated at Squirrel — User Manual
Thanks to each one of you upvoted us, supported us and encouraged us, BookMark Manager is now Squirrel. 🐿️
Same product. Same $9 one-time price. Same "no server, no subscription, no tracking" promise.
Just a name that finally matches what it actually does.
Why Squirrel? Because squirrels are nature's bookmark managers. They collect what matters, tuck it away in private caches, and retrieve it exactly when they need it — no cloud account, no monthly fee, no one else knowing what's in their stash. That's exactly what this app does for
your browser bookmarks.
If you're an existing user, nothing changes on your end. Your bookmarks are safe, your license key still works, and your old link will forward you automatically.
New home: squirrel.aditco.in
Would love to hear what you think of the new name. 👇
