Appointment booking micro-SaaS you can own completely. Toggle between marketplace mode (take commissions) or single-business mode (white-label). Flask/Python with Stripe integration. Buy once, deploy unlimited times. No vendor lock-in.
I built BookEase after watching my friend pay $99/month to Acuity for her health clinic booking.
She asked: "Why am I renting software forever? Can't I just... own it?"
Good question. So I built the answer.
**What this is:**
A complete booking platform you own outright. No monthly fees to vendors, no vendor lock-in, no surprise price increases.
**What makes it different:**
1. **Dual-mode:** Run as marketplace (take commissions) OR white-label for clients
2. **Commission-based:** Platform takes 2-5% automatically via Stripe
3. **Full ownership:** Buy once, deploy unlimited times, customize anything
**The controversial decision:**
I'm selling it as a product instead of running it myself.
Why? I spent 4 months building this and realized I'm passionate about the building, not the business operations. Rather than do a mediocre job running it, I'd rather sell to someone who'll actually grow it.
**What I'm proud of:**
- Stripe integration that actually works (commission splits are tricky!)
- Clean Flask architecture (no spaghetti code)
- Real security (not an afterthought)
- Works on $5/month hosting
**The debate:**
Some say I'm leaving money on the table by not running it as SaaS. Others say owning > renting.
What do you think? Would you rather pay $50/month forever or $3,000 once and own it?
