Review of Book Track
I bought a copy of macOS version and tried for a half hour.
Cons
- Built with Catalyst. All problem comes from that.
- Simple but not intuitive icons
- No tooltips for button. because of catalyst
- Focusing buttons are sometimes so weird. because of catalyst
- (Not your fault) Google Books can not search local online-bookstores via ISBN.
Pros
- Easy to navigate using keyboard. The one and only advantage of catalyst.
I strongly recommend to reimplement native macOS application. Catalyst is just a proof of concept, not for user. And Google Books will not fix their problem, so good to have a plug-in system. I can add a logic to search local stores. I know it is not an easy thing.
