The common "book summaries" that you see online are far too shallow, often only giving a basic description of the book. Book Dives gives you more, digging into the most valuable and practical lessons from books, and analyzing how to apply them in real life.

Hey Product Hunters πŸ‘‹ πŸ“š Books are a fantastic way to learn new things and gain wisdom from some of the smartest people ever. Yet they are often long and detailed, which makes it difficult to extract the really valuable lessons from them. As of late, people have tried turning to quick summaries, either posted online or hosted on various apps. Unfortunately though, these summaries are often quite shallow and don't dig into the deeper learnings from the books, nor do they explain the most valuable part: how to actually apply what you learn. That's why I created Book Dives! 🧐 Book Dives is a bi-weekly newsletter aimed at diving deep into non-fiction books. We want to move beyond just shallow summaries and really dig into the fundamental lessons from the books we read. Ultimately, the most valuable part of non-fiction books is not the summary, nor is it the background stories the author tells.. *The real value in these books are the ideas and their applications to our lives* Specifically, for each new issue we write: - 😎 A "Super Summary" where we not only describe the book, but also what value the reader can expect to get out of it *and* who we recommend the book to - πŸ“œThe best quotes from the book that we think really encapsulates the main lessons and message - πŸ“– Key Lessons: This is our main course. Here we go through the book to explain the most valuable overall learnings. Sometimes this is chapter by chapter; but other times, it is a set of lessons that is formed through connecting the common themes and learnings from multiple chapters. Throughout these, we offer additional context, analysis, and examples of how they can be applied in real life Here are some books we've done in the past: - How to Think Like a Roman Emperor - How to Win Friends and Influence People - The Almanack of Naval Ravikant - Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion - The Richest Man in Babylon - On the Shortness of Life - Seeking Wisdom: From Darwin to Munger - 12 Rules for Life: An Antidote to Chaos Ultimately, we wish for Book Dives to give readers more: more learnings, more ideas, and more value to apply to our lives. πŸ€“ We hope you enjoy!
