Do you remember that social media (decentralised) platform that experienced such a boom one year ago? Yeah, Bluesky as for today, hit 40 M users (I understood that "accounts") and is trying to improve experience, such as:
adding downvoting system dislikes, moderation tools (e.g. detecting toxic comments),
Reviewers see Bluesky as a cleaner, calmer Twitter-like network with real conversations, a simple interface, and less algorithmic noise. Users repeatedly praise its decentralized, open approach, flexible feeds, moderation tools, and domain-based identity, saying it feels transparent, community-led, and especially useful for sharing updates and following developers. The main complaints are narrow but clear: some miss bookmarks, and the 300-character limit can feel restrictive. One founder, the maker of Flipboard Surf, also notes that Bluesky serves as infrastructure for their product.
I've fled from Twitter (yes “X” if you like 🙄) since EM decided to make it what it is, to take refuge on BlueSky. t I admit it's a haven of peace compared to the other network. It has practically all the features I used to use, but bookmarks are especially lacking. So 4 stars now and 5 when they will implement bookmark 😁
I’ve been using Bluesky to post updates, discover new ideas, and follow people who inspire me. The experience feels light and focused, which makes it easy to stay engaged. I enjoy how clean the feed is and how quickly conversations move. It’s quickly become one of my favorite platforms.
I've found the app nice, simple, clean, and the people on the service have been of mostly good quality. Not like other experiences with other similar services. Is looking hopeful.
