Hey PH!
I made BlueHeart when I realized that my peloton bike could take a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) Heart Rate signal but I hated wearing chest straps/didn’t feel like it was worth it to buy a new one when I had my Apple Watch. It allows you to use your watch and phone together as a universal BLE HR Monitor, and since it follows the Bluetooth SIG spec for them it can connect to any device that accepts a BLE HR signal. This includes equipment from other brands too like LifeFitness, Precor, Garmin, Mirror and more!
Since I also use it on pretty much a daily basis, I don’t want my data leaking anywhere so I made sure the app is GDPR, CCPA, and Apple No-Tracking complaint. I don’t want any of your data so I don’t upload any identifiable data. The only thing that gets uploaded are crash logs and I delete them after I have fixed the issue. I also only use AdMob (who is also complaint) and even restrict their access to location data by coding the app to not use or have access to the location APIs.
I personally am not a fan of apps that have subscriptions for no real reason, which is why there are no subscriptions or recurring fees in BlueHeart. It's a one time purchase to unlock the ability to customise the app and remove ads. The core features are/will be always free!
You can also close your rings since it saves to Apple Health just like the native workout app!
I've decide to extend the 30% off launch discount for the Pro upgrade to PH community, and it will be valid till 11/28!
