When and where to see flowers in Japan, month by month: cherry and plum blossom, wisteria, nemophila, kochia, hydrangea, ginkgo, autumn leaves and more, across 429 spots with peak times and how to get there.

Hey Product Hunt 👋
I built Blooms of Japan because planning a trip around Japan’s flower seasons is weirdly hard. The information exists, but it’s scattered across blog posts from 2017, forum threads, and forecast sites that only cover cherry blossoms for about six weeks a year. Everything else (wisteria, hydrangea, cosmos, kochia, plum) you piece together yourself.
So I made the thing I wanted: a year-round flower calendar for Japan.
What it does:
Scrollable year view. The whole bloom calendar in one pass, so you can see what overlaps and what you’d miss by shifting your dates a week.
Map of bloom spots. Every location pinned, so you can plan around where you’ll already be instead of chasing a flower across the country.
Search by flower, month, or place. Three ways in, depending on what’s already fixed. If you know when you’re going, it tells you what you’ll see. If you know what you want to see, it tells you when to go.
It’s for anyone planning a trip to Japan who’d rather not land a week after peak bloom, and honestly for people who just like looking at flowers and imagining the trip.
I’d love your feedback: what’s missing, what’s confusing, and whether you’d actually use it to plan a trip. Tell me what I got wrong.
