These comments are great! keep 'em coming. And so glad you like the @resy piece. My fave is @garyvee 's summation of the feeling as "Douchy." Short answers: Yes we'll move out of PDF into other formats as we develop. Technology will be the story for restaurants hence why I wanted first issue focused on them.
@mrpeterelliot great to see you here. Any chance you can share subscriber numbers - I'm expecting no, but always curious :)? How do you like (or dislike) writing an email newsletter compared to web editorial? I follow the space closely and always curious to get perspective from others. cc @daveambrose
Read the first edition from editor @mrpeterelliot and was impressed w. restaurant reviews across NYC, London and Hong Kong and even information about the restaurant/hospitality industry.
Peter also reviewed Resy w. founders @garyvee and @benleventhal, which was covered on PH some weeks back: http://www.producthunt.com/posts...
Bloomberg briefs as a whole are quite interesting. At $995 per year, they're not cheap, but it shows there's a market for paid content. Reserve is free though. It's interesting to see that it's a PDF only though.
@mrpeterelliot Seems you don't love the idea of paying for a res. Would you criticize it more from the business/restaurant side of things? Or from how it may change the experience of dining as a customer? Do you even think the reservation system needs changing at all?

@jasonlbaptise and @KristoferTM.@daveambrose --sounds like we have have an event in the making - quick answers: 1. It's week one. I'm very pleased with our numbers. 2. I'm loving writing for a newsletter (especially my own) - I also still write for Bloomberg news, .com. etc., so I find it's just one more color in my palette. Did you read the piece about Brian Eno in the New Yorker? So far, the thing I like best is collaborating with people. 3. @resy. Yes. The reservation system has to be changed. I'm a true believer that technology is part of the solution. Look what @mikebloomberg did to money. Made it transparent. It's time for restaurants. Having said that, remember, I eat out for a living.
