Hey everyone, Niteesh here, founder of Blockout.
Hiring is full of unconscious bias. Names, universities, employers, even postcodes influence decisions before a recruiter reads a single line of experience. Blind hiring tools exist, but they are expensive, enterprise-only, and require long procurement cycles. Small and mid-size HR teams get left out.
Blockout fixes that. Upload a document, tell it in plain English what to remove, and download a clean file in seconds. No contracts, no sales calls, no minimum seats.
What makes it different: instead of just blacking everything out, our generalisation feature replaces "University of Oxford" with "Russell Group University" so recruiters still see context without bias. End-to-end encrypted sharing means the redacted file never touches our servers unencrypted.

Handy little tool, dropped in a messy CV PDF and it scrubbed the candidate names and phone numbers without me tweaking anything. Nice that nothing gets stored, that part actually matters.

@zlem94817150606 Thank you Özlem, this is great to hear. The no-tweaking part is what we spent most of our time on, so it is good to know it held up on a messy PDF.
You are right that the storage question matters. It was a deliberate design decision rather than an afterthought, and we would rather not have your documents than have to promise we are looking after them.
If you want to keep using it, WELCOME50 will get you 50% off.

Dragged a messy CV through it and watched the emails and phone numbers vanish in seconds, no upload lingering anywhere. Kinda reassuring for a tool handling this much personal info.
