Hi Product Hunt! I built Blinds because changing a wallpaper on Mac should feel more delightful than an instant image swap.
Blinds brings wallpapers to life with smooth, carefully designed transition effects. You can switch local wallpapers manually, on a schedule, or on
specific dates.
It also adds beautiful and practical widgets directly to your desktop, including a Focus Timer, Calendar, Music Player, System Monitor, Recorder, Photo
Album, and more. Each widget feels at home on macOS while remaining genuinely useful throughout the day.
Blinds is lightweight at only 13 MB and is available now on the Mac App Store.
My goal was simple: make the desktop more beautiful, dynamic, and useful without adding clutter.
I’d love to know which transition effect and widget you like most. Thanks for checking out Blinds!

Finally tried this and honestly the native feel is what got me, like it doesn't look like some random app bolted onto macOS. The focus timer widget on the wallpaper is such a small thing but it makes a real difference during deep work.

The widgets actually feel native to macOS which is rare for this kind of app, and the calendar widget fits perfectly on my desktop without looking clunky.
