I built BlazeFox to solve the challenges I faced when handling files. My friend and I had two separate directories of resources, and when we merged them, duplicates were redundantly copied simply because their filenames differed. This caused chaos and wasted storage.
BlazeFox primarily addresses this issue, but also offers extensive features for handling name collisions using multiple flexible strategies and an intelligent algorithm to streamline file copying and moving. It leverages Linux-specific commands for speed and supports filtering files with include/exclude patterns using both regex and glob.
Other key features include dry-run and interactive modes for safe operations, rollback (undo) and redo of processes using unique process IDs and detailed JSON logs, recursive folder operations with depth control, junk file filtering to skip unwanted files, multithreading for faster performance, verbose logging and summary reports, and conflict resolution strategies like rename, skip, replace, larger, smaller, newer, and older.
These exclusive features make BlazeFox fast, precise, and robust, setting it apart from other copy/move tools.
