Most useful technology already exists; your team just can't find it. BlackTurtle is a cross-domain AI matching engine. Describe a problem in plain English; get back patents, papers, and R&D outputs that solve it even from adjacent fields or non-English corpora. Day one: 3M Korean patents surfaced in English with sources.

Hey Product Hunt
I'm Mason, solo founder of BlackTurtle (Seoul).
# The problem I kept seeing: R&D teams burn months on problems that another industry already solved. A coating issue in hydrogen storage? Fixed years ago in turbine ceramics. But keyword search can't bridge that, and roughly half the world's patents aren't even in English.
# What BlackTurtle does: You describe a technical problem in plain language. We run cross-domain SAO matching (35,857 Subject-Action-Object triples, dual-vector retrieval with IPC anchoring) across patents, papers, and national R&D and surface candidates in your language with sources.
#Why this is possible now:
- LLM costs finally crossed the line where cross-domain + cross-language semantic retrieval is sustainable at SaaS pricing.
- Korean NTIS corpus (~3M patents + national R&D) opened up commercially in May 2026 — that's our day-one moat.
- Cross-border IP licensing is a $480B/yr market and the non-English long tail was effectively unsearchable until now.
What I'd love from PH:
1. If you do Open Innovation, R&D scouting, or tech transfer at an F2000 / SME / university TTO — I'm onboarding 3 global design partners with a 30-day free PoC. DM me a problem statement.
2. Brutal feedback on the search UX. The hard part isn't ranking — it's making a non-English source card *trustworthy* in 3 seconds.
3. If you've tried PatSnap, IPRally, Iprova, Yet2, IN-PART tell me what they got wrong for you. That's the wedge.
Happy to answer anything in the thread today. Will be live for 24h.
Mason
