BlackCat is a sci-fi messenger where messages follow the laws of Quantum Mechanics. You don't 'send' a text; you Box it. They don't 'read' it; they observe it. 📦 Schrödinger's Box: Send 3 texts in superposition. Only 1 survives observation. 🔒 Heisenberg's Lock: View content OR sender. Never both. ⏳ Quantum Zeno: Hold to freeze time. Experience pure OLED black, neon UI, and true kinetic chat powered by ANU Quantum RNG.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋 Dimitris here.
I got bored of standard, utilitarian messengers. I wanted to build a kinetic, sci-fi experience where the UI physically responds to you. I asked myself: What if a message behaved like a quantum particle? What if the act of "reading" actually changed its state?
That’s how BlackCat was born. It’s not a gimmick; we use actual quantum vacuum fluctuations (via the ANU QRNG API) to collapse message wave functions. No pseudo-randomness. I wanted to turn chat into a "phygital" experience using the phone's gyroscope, haptics, and true randomness.
I’m currently building the MVP. I'd love to hear your thoughts on combining UI/UX with Quantum Physics! Let's chat!
