Bitsy is a desktop pet with real emotions. She walks, jumps, climbs walls, shoots machine guns, throws bombs, plants gardens, does magic tricks, and has 50+ unique pixel art animations. She gets lonely if you ignore her, grumpy if you fling her too much, and hyper when you play with her. She reacts to your typing speed, battery level, and even knows what holiday it is. Free, open source, no signup needed.
Hey everyone! I built Bitsy because I wanted something on my desktop that felt alive — not just a widget, but a little creature with its own personality.
She started as a simple bouncing blob and grew into something with 50+ behaviors, real moods, thought bubbles, and reactions to your typing speed, battery level, and even holidays.
My favorite hidden feature: if you ignore her too long, she starts looking toward your cursor sadly and says "I miss you..."
