The core concept seems really interesting, but publicly placing a price/value on each user and then encouraging everyone to continually game out each other's worth is pretty much the perfect distillation of everything I hate about modern social media.

I have been an early user of Bitclout and it feels like the early days of Twitter but with a new dimension where all users capture the value instead of a centralized company. there is a fair amount of polemic about it because it has pre-indexed the top 15 000 top Twitter influencer (disclosure i am one of them) without their "permission" but anyone can claim their profile too It will be a fascinating experiment to watch side note: bitclout is backed by some of the largest VCs (sequoia, a16z and more)

Everyone, Do NOT believe everything you read. Just because you see a list of "backers" do not trust they actually support something they personally have not publicly announced. Trustworthy VCs will always disclose who they back. and congrats, @ourielohayon FWIW. cheers.

@dudehere Same problem here. I had to give my phone number and I think I was meant to get some coins. No idea. You can't post without a profile, you can't get a profile without paying.

@alphacolo I felt the same way and added $60 of BTC but my account now is valued at $300 BTC in two days!! There seems to be ways to drive value that is compensated. Similar to how you gain crypto from using the Brave browser.
