@jakecrump@mrwongsteven Thanks so much! The idea came from wanting to make a local multiplayer game on mobile that kids could play together. I was playing a lot of arcade style battle puzzle games at the time (Super Puzzle Fighter, Tetris Attack, Puzzle Bobble) and I felt like that genre would be a good fit on mobile if I could translate it from split-screen to head-to-head. The art was inspired by emojis, just like Steven's above.
