Find a home at auction as easily as on any portal

Europe sells thousands of homes at public auction every year, many starting below market value, but finding them means digging through scattered official portals and legal notices. BidTerra puts ~24,000 auctions from 5 countries on one map, with aerial views, plain-language summaries, risk flags and investment tools. We want auction homes to be as easy to find as on any property portal, for investors and families alike. We’re live and improving every day: tell us what to build next!

Hi Product Hunt 👋 I’m Adrian, the creator of BidTerra.
WHY I BUILT THIS
I’m a "Big Law" banking & finance lawyer. My day job is spent in dense legal language, so I know how intimidating public property auctions look from the outside. The longer I looked at this market, the more convinced I became that it isn’t really complicated. It’s just badly presented.
Every year, tens of thousands of homes, apartments, plots and commercial units across Europe are sold at public auction: court-ordered sales, tax-agency seizures, government disposals. Many start well below what comparable properties fetch on the open market, in countries where ordinary people are increasingly priced out.
Yet almost nobody outside a small circle of professionals buys them. Each country, and often each authority, publishes on its own portal, in its own language, with dense legal notices, little or no imagery and no way to compare. Finding a home on Zillow or Idealista takes minutes. Finding one at auction can take days.
I wanted to change that: to make this specialised, opaque and scattered market as easy to browse as any major property portal, and to open it to everyday people, whether they are investors or families looking for a home.
WHAT BIDTERRA DOES TODAY
🗺️ One map, five countries. ~24,000 open auctions from Spain, Italy, Germany, Romania and the Czech Republic, with filters by country, region, property type and price.
🛰️ Aerial view of every property. Satellite imagery centred on the actual parcel wherever the location is precise, and clearly marked as approximate when it isn’t.
📄 A clear summary of each listing. Size, starting price, deposit, schedule and key facts, pulled from the official notice and written in plain language, with the original notice one click away.
⚠️ Risk flags. We highlight what is easy to miss in legal text: occupants, leases, undivided shares, bare ownership and usufruct, prior charges, suspended sales.
📊 Tools to run the numbers. Local market data, an investment analyser (profit and rental yield), a purchase-cost calculator and a history of past auction results.
📘 How-to-buy guides. Step-by-step explanations of how the process works in each country.
🔗 Straight to the official portal. BidTerra is an independent information service. We don’t handle bids or give legal advice: you always bid with the authority itself.
The core platform is free. Premium (€9.99/month) adds a daily e-mail with the auctions that match your searches, reminders before they close, change alerts and CSV/PDF exports, with much more to come.
WHERE WE’RE GOING
Public auctions shouldn’t be an insiders’ game. Our long-term vision is to democratise access to these opportunities, whether as an investment or as a primary residence, at prices that are often well below today’s inflated markets. That means more countries, richer data and tools that make the process less intimidating for first-time buyers.
BidTerra is live and fully usable today, and we’re improving it every day. I’d love your feedback: what’s missing, what’s confusing, and which country we should add next.
Thank you for taking a look!
