If you're looking for a dry-erase Notebook, Wipebook3 is also on Kickstarter right now. I backed Wipebook 2 earlier this year and it really is an amazing product. The third iteration is a more professional version, and they've apparently also improved the dry-erase surface: https://www.kickstarter.com/proj...

Hi Ross, First of all, thanks for featuring us on Crowdloot! We really appreciate your support of our project. We’ve heard of Wipebook and also tested their notebook product. Betabook is a whiteboard tablet in the form of a book – not a notebook. Betabook has a matte finish which makes it easy to take great photos of its surface. You can check out our Instagram account and you’ll see lots of examples: instagram.com/betabook Betabook unfolds to reveal a seamless surface, saving space on the go due to its compact form. It’s designed to fit in a purse or bag and accompany you day to day. The Betabook’s spine is made from a rubbery material which allows you to write with a single hand without it slipping around. This is great for taking notes while on the phone. We’re confident that users of Betabook will find it a special tool to add to their visual thinking toolbox. Thanks for giving us the opportunity to address how our device is unique. – Jay

@rossdcurrie Hey Ross, I also want to echo Jay’s sentiments here. Thanks for sharing our project with your community and for involving us in this discussion! We’d encourage readers to check out what others have said about the delivery of the first Wipebook campaign: https://www.kickstarter.com/proj... – Gabriel

This looks like a really cool product. I want one as still do use analog alternatives sometimes. Betabook is a mini whiteboard you can take around with you to communicate ideas, do quick designs, etc.

@erictwillis thanks Eric glad you like it

@erictwillis Thanks Eric! I would like to point out some great examples of use cases our backers on Kickstarter have been mentioning in the comments section of our project page: https://www.kickstarter.com/proj...

@erictwillis Hi Eric, I just thought you and other Product Hunters might like to know Betabook has been reviewed on LifeEdited and core77 – I've added links to the articles above in the 'Related Links' section. FYI: the Kickstarter closes on Monday and we're over 400% funded. Thanks again for sharing our product here on Product Hunt!

Hello! I am the producer of Betabook and happy to answer any questions you may have about Betabook. Thanks to Eric for including us here! I am hoping my partner Jay Cousins who invented Betabook will be able to join in as well.
Eric Willis
@gabrielshalom I've sent @jaycousins an invite.
gabrielshalom
@erictwillis can you make @jaycousins the "maker"? :)

We thought people would appreciate hearing a couple updates about our near-future plans: While the Betabook won’t be ready for Christmas, you can still give it as a gift. Now that our project is more than fully funded, every pledge for a Betabook is a pre-order. Every backer from now until December 24 will receive access to download a do-it-yourself printable and foldable Betabook holiday card: https://www.kickstarter.com/proj... We've also announced a fun stretch goal for our campaign: if we reach 1000 backers we will be offering a color choice of both black and white Betabooks: https://www.kickstarter.com/proj... Greetings from Berlin, Gabriel

FYI: I've just posted two related links I thought you all would appreciate: the VizWorld review highlights the way that Betabook saves paper; the KS12 blog post (full disclosure I wrote this post) explains some of the unusual use-cases for Betabook which we like to call "reality hacking".

I'm here and happy to answer any questions

@gabrielshalom @jaycousins, co-founder of wipebook here, welcome to the whiteboard space my friends! feel free to ping me if you need tips or tricks. Our first kickstarter was one hell of a roller coaster ride, and although some international orders got banged up, 99% were fulfilled and were still handling resends for backers. @Rosscurrie: Thanks for the plug, were pretty pumped for our campaign.
