Bestio is a social platform for personal and collaborative recommendations. It merges the Q&A format of Quora with a Twitter style layout (of posts, comments, streaming and following users).
For me it is like a favorites journal, where my (and other interesting) posts are quick and easy to find. Basically it has all my cool stuff in one place, yet simultaneously allowing other people to add their suggestions and comments.
Where Product Hunt launches new products, bestio is more for saving, sharing, and crowd-sourcing everyday recommendations.
