Bentomux is a calm desktop app for running coding agents side by side: project workspaces, persistent split-pane terminals, live agent state and approvals.

As one of the developers working on Bentomux, I can honestly say the project was born out of the various frustrations I personally experienced while working with AI agents over the past year. You could say Bentomux is an application designed to make life easier for me as a developer, and I want to share that convenience with everyone. It offers features like splitting multiple panes within a single active terminal, sending notifications when an AI agent needs confirmation or has finished a task, and enabling remote access to a running terminal from a mobile phone anytime, anywhere. It truly offers a level of convenience that greatly helps developers like us as we adapt to the world of AI.

I chose Bentomux and fell in love with it the moment I started using it, thanks to its ease of use. Its integration with 22 CLI AI agents makes the workflow much smoother, especially in this era of "vibe coding." Furthermore, Bentomux supports plugins, allowing us as developers to get creative and build tools that simplify our work.
