A website draft is a good start. A website you can actually send to someone is the goal.
I’m Matthew, and I’m sharing Benchlight, a Winter Watermelon business. It helps small businesses turn the work they make in Claude into a real website, with a private preview before anything goes public.
Here’s the flow:
Connect Benchlight in Claude and describe your business, or bring a page you’ve already made.
Check the private draft. Review the wording, pictures and business details, then ask for changes.
Choose a free benchlight.page address and confirm publication. Publishing requires permission and a separate confirmation.
You can publish one free site per account, with a small Benchlight credit. No card is needed. Prefer to start outside Claude? There’s also a simple website starter in Benchlight.
You keep access to your website files, and you can ask for recorded daily visitor numbers. When you want your own domain, hosting is optional: $9/month or $99/year after a 14-day trial. That trial requires a card; domain registration is separate.
This launch focuses on static websites. Shops, logins, databases and server-side apps need a separate check. The gallery uses a fictional business to demonstrate the workflow.
I’d love feedback on the handoff from draft to live site. What would you need to check before you felt comfortable pressing publish?
