Hi everyone, I'm Hammad Habib, and this is the first launch of benchcove.com
What it is: a platform of workbenches for people who work online. Two are available:
ā¢ File & Data: import a messy CSV or Excel file and it explains what's wrong (encoding, delimiter, duplicates, empty values, rows that don't fit). Clean it step by step ā every step is previewed and can be undone ā compare two versions, and check a data-quality score.
ā¢ Research & Evidence: collect sources (paste text or import Word and PDF files), record findings labelled as verified, estimated, inferred or unverified, compare competitors with a source for every value, and export a report.
Why in the browser: files are processed on your device and research is saved in your browser, so nothing is uploaded. No account needed, and it's free.
Honest limits: it's early. File & Data exports CSV only and doesn't keep your work between visits; research projects live in one browser, so back them up. More workbenches are planned, not built.
