I read this book while traveling in India. I find that travel is enhanced and experiences are magnified if the book you are reading is shaped by the place you are visiting.
While this book is based on extensive research and interviews, it reads like fiction. Katherine does an amazing job of painting a vivid picture of what life is like for some of the most impoverished people in the world. She gave a voice to their story.
