I wanted to share my Minecraft Bedrock worlds with friends and community members, but existing map viewers were either designed for Java Edition only, lacked interactivity, or didn't support features like real-time player tracking. I saw an opportunity to create something specifically for Bedrock players that would make world sharing as easy as uploading a file. Server admins and world builders had no easy way to showcase their Bedrock worlds online. Existing solutions required complex self-hosting, lacked customization, or had no way to track players in real-time. I wanted a simple upload-and-share experience where anyone could turn their world into an interactive map with a shareable URL. I started with basic map rendering, but quickly realized users needed more than just a static view. I added: Custom subdomains for branding (e.g., myworld.bedrockmap.net) In-game integration via Minecraft addon for live player positions and marker creation Marker permissions system so server owners could control who adds markers The biggest evolution was moving from a simple viewer to a complete platform that bridges the gap between Minecraft and the web.
